Us and Them
To its followers, the ineptitude of the Democratic party should not come as a surprise. In 2004, they stood on the sidelines and watched the Neo-Cons stole the election from them while Democrats had an incumbent President. Then they had 4 years to get their act together and mobilize their platform but it is no secret as to what happened yesterday. It is an absolute disgrace. This was the battle that was to be fought at the line of scrimmage -man to man and full with hard nose tackles. The Democrats yet once again got jerked around by their counterparts and ended up with a demoralising loss with a bloody nose. Just the fact that Daschle lost says a lot about this race. He became the first party leader to fail in a re-election bid in more than 50 years. To add salt to their wounds, the Democrats lost 3 seats in the Senate and 2 in the House.
The Democratic party needs to understand that there is no way in hell they could have won by being 'slightly' different than their opponents. Both parties are war, corporate and Israel mongers. Both would say or do anything to get elected -so where is the difference? The Democrats fuckin can't get over harping about abortion and gay rights while their opponents whip the Bible out and start thumping them. And all of a sudden what is all this talk by Kerry about 'desperate need for unity'? Why the fuck was he running against the Bushites if all he wanted in the end was 'unity'? Does an average guy in the middle or left really sees himself uniting with the right wing bible thumping gay bashing truck driving gun slinging hill billy? Burp! Oh just give me a Billy Bob as President for god sakes and cut this unity crap.
If the left and moderates really thought they had a chance to oust Bush by lining up with Kerry then God help them. They turned into mongrels at best. Leaving your principles behind and making alliances with lesser evil is just another form of mongering. No need to glorify that.
And what are those Green fucks going to do who conceded to Kerry in the hopes of defeating Bush? Can they look themselves in the mirror this morning. I bet all they would see is green slime.
