It has been 4 days

I was hoping it won't be there on this morning's commute but yet there it was -the same dead racoon on the side of the freeway. It was the fourth time today in past few days that I've seen it laying there. Nobody has claimed its dead body nor anyone has tried to remove it.

Perhaps this was a lucky one -at least it managed to almost cross one side of the freeway -unlike others that got run over smack in the middle and over time became part of concrete and gravel ...
