Wrath (of God)

I mean I can understand that whatever has happened in Florida recently in terms of Ivan and Jean is wrath of God (finally) falling on Floridans. Afterall Florida's voting record and its aftermath are no secret. It took only 4 years but hey it is election year afterall. I'm sure that average Floridans would agree with me on my findings since they thump more bible per capita than their San Franciscan counterparts. What other possible interpretation could there be of God manifesting Himself in Ivan and Jean?

What I don't understand is that what did poor Grenadans and Haitians ever do to deserve this. I'm not too familiar with God's previous wrath record but you'd think that in this day and age His strikes would be more surgical. But if he got the idea of surgical strikes from US Air Force then ofcourse it is understood -Grenada and Haiti were just collateral damage(s).

Cross or slant eyed?

They say this form of stereoblindness, which occurs when someone's eyes are not aligned when looking at an object, could affect person's ability to perceive depth. So you tell me who is shallow afterall. He or I?

If it brings any solace to anyone, Rembrandt was also cross eyed. When the Harvard researchers mapped the direction of Rembrandt's gaze in 36 self-portraits, he was cross-eyed in 35.

Kingdom of Sleepdom

Last night I fell asleep @ 7PM and slept through the night till 7AM -something almost unheard of. No I wasn't intoxicated or under the influence (of the drug kind). They say it is jet lag. It was perhaps the most profound spell of sleepdom ever befallen on me. I like talking in the passive voice at times -especially when you are asleep, in what other voice you could possibly talk.

How could you sleep that long and still feel lethargic? I feel like falling sleep again. Today is my second day back at work and I can't seem to think straight or align my thoughts. The moment I try to -I start yawning. YAWN ~ ~

As usual I had a de-railed train of thought -jumping from one to the next. I couldn't help it -remember? I was asleep. And it happened again -I thought of something that I should have written down but ofcourse I didn't coz I thought I'd remember it when I wake up. Do I remember it? Ofcourse not. Repeat offender.

Do you know about 9/11?

Today marks the 31st anniversary of US led coup in Chile on September 11, 1973. I was 13 months old then, too young to understand, remember or comprehend. But it is all too clear now.

On 9/11 when the planes struck the twin towers, did it occur to anyone in the White House that Oh Shit! Could it be those Chileans finally taking their revenge after 30 years?
